Well, since you're here, I figure you're probably just browsing for more links. See the bottom of the page for those. But if you're curious about me, I'll oblige you to a limited degree. This won't be comprehensive, because I feel that getting to know someone can't be done through a web site, but I'll give you a few insights. ... oh, and a pic ...
As you may have guessed, I'm a cataloger at a law library in Chapel Hill, as well as a part-time grad student in Library Science. I knew I was destined for this vocation when I landed a job as a technical assistant for a public library several years ago, and found that I truly loved my work despite being paid much less than in my previous job. I loved vicariously educating others by providing materials and access for them to do it themselves. It also appealed to my sense of patriotism in the sense that I firmly believe Jefferson was right in saying that anyone who believed there could be an uneducated democracy believed in something that had never been and will never be.
I have two cats, a Saturn, and a love of collecting movies. I also like chocolate. A lot.
Like most catlogers, knowing where to put my semi-colons fills me with a sense of security, which I think grew out of my love of writing and literature. I'm a Virgo and an English major. What more need I say? Other than that my sense of order is deeply belied by my bedroom closet and my rather morbid sense of humor. Am I a nerd? Find out in my rant.

Movies My favorite movie link would have to be Reel.com which serves as a great reference tool as well as a source to purchase movies. Also check out Entertainment Weekly Online. I own a lot of movies, which I can't possibly list here. I tend to prefer comedies, action/adventure, sci-fi, and horror. Interestingly, when I have insomnia, the best thing to put me to sleep is the original Terminator. What does that say about me? |
