Copy cataloging, as well as some GPO, original, multi-media and serials
cataloging using OCLC and DRA software. Minimum of 65-75 titles per
month. Assigns subject headings, and verifies or assigns LC classification
numbers to cataloged materials. Supervison and training of 2-6 student
assistants in shelving and processing. Authority record control and
catalog maintenence using MSKermit and DRA software. Retroconversion
of materials not in online catalogs and MARC editing of OCLC member
records for new materials. Creation and maintenance of departmental
intranet resources using Dreamweaver, Photoshop, and Ipswitch software.
Compilation of monthly and yearly statistics for cataloging department.
Completion of special projects as assigned, including library displays
twice a year.

98, and NT. Additionally, have worked with Lexis/Nexis, NC LIVE, Dialog
(telnet and web), FirstSearch, Silver Platter, and many other databases
available through the UNC subscription services.
Cataloging
Knowledge of AACR2, MARC, and other metadata standards. LC and
some Dewey classification. Have utilized LC and Sears subject
headings.
Languages
Have classified some foreign language materials using OCLC records in
MARC format.
